Central Reinsurance Corporation is the only domestic reinsurance company in Taiwan undertaking non-life and life reinsurance businesses from domestic and overseas markets.
Central Re was established by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) on October 31, 1968 with the mission to promote the sound development and sustainable growth of the local insurance industry. Central Re completed its privatization process on July 11, 2002. Evergreen Group, the well-known transportation conglomerate becomes the largest shareholder and the Ministry of Finance is the second-largest shareholder.

We also value the importance of financial inclusion, providing access to protection for underserved minority groups with Micro Insurance, Aquaculture and Agriculture Insurance. These products are developed specifically to groups that traditionally were not able to obtain protection against weather and other unforeseeable risks. Because when unexpected accidents happen, the economic burden on their family will aggravate due to the loss of income source, and the insurance we provide will be able to cover their losses. Staying close to our community, we collaborate with alpine associations, private rescue groups, and public agencies to develop mountaineering insurance, a vivid example of our endeavor to be innovative while developing the products that fits the demand of our customers. |
