This grand annual event is the first joint international seminar organized by the Actuarial Institute of Chinese Taipei, AICT and Casualty Actuarial Society, CAS.

The content is quite rich, including one and a half day seminar (Seminar) and a half day workshop (Workshop). The joint seminar especially invites experienced lecturers from overseas and focuses on the important issues in line with the needs of the industry in the fields of health insurance, property insurance, IFRS 17, etc.. Topics that will be covered include pricing long term health insurance product, the applications of FinTech, block chain and data science to both areas of health insurance and property insurance, as well as cyber insurance, cat risk and modeling and IFRS 17 related issues. The "IFRS 17 Reserving and Risk margin" Workshop held in the afternoon on the 27^th is a technical session, which will continue the discussion on IFRS 17 from the morning session. This workshop aims to provide attendees with an in-depth practical understanding through live demonstrations and hands-on practice.

Participants' registration fee for each session/workshop includes admission to that session/workshop, coffee break, registration material; registration fee for session A+B+C additionally includes lunch. Travel and accommodation costs are excluded.

Cancellation and Refund policy

If, for any reason, the Joint Seminar, or any part thereof, is prevented from being held, or the venue becomes unavailable, the Organiser may cancel or postpone the Joint Seminar. In such event, the Organiser shall not be responsible for delays, damage, loss, increased costs, or other unfavourable conditions arising by virtue thereof, and participants waive all or any claims for loss, expense or damage against the Organiser arising there from.

Cancellation before before the registration deadline (including) will be subject to an administration fee of 20% of registration fee per participant and refunds will only be made after the completion of the Joint Seminar. In the event of late cancellation after the registration deadline or no-show, request of refund will not be entertained.

Evergreen Maritime Museum

The Evergreen Maritime Museum consists of multiple exhibitions spanning five floors including scale models, dioramas, maps and globes, various navigational equipment, anchors, graphic timelines and vessel backgrounds, and interactive games for kids. There is also a special section dedicated to the Titanic as well as some poignant artifacts from Titanic passengers.

Floors 2-5 include comprehensive showcases of scale model ships both ancient and modern along with other memorabilia. Though not apparent from the museum's official website, the permanent collection on display on these floors is vast and of high quality.

Chung Kuo Insurance Company, Limited (Chung Kuo Insurance or the Company), was founded in Shanghai on November 1, 1931 through investment by the Bank of China. In October 1949, the Company applied to establish a branch office in Taiwan. In December of the same year, the Company relocated its headquarters to Taiwan together with the Bank of China and continued to implement non-life insurance businesses.

Taiwan Insurance Guaranty Fund (TIGF) was established on July 3, 2009 according to Article 143-1 of the Insurance Act to protect the basic interests of the policyholders and to maintain financial stability. The funds are collected from Non-Life insurers and Life insurers according to the Insurance Act.
TIGF was set up as a dedicated institution to actively carry out the mandate from the Insurance Act to efficiently integrate the resources of insurance guaranty schemes in Taiwan. TIGF’s tasks are to set up and implement the resolution mechanism for insolvent insurers¸ to conduct off-site monitoring, to strengthen the early warning system, to watch performances of theinsurers, and to assist the regulator in supervising and controlling the risks of the insurers in a timely manner.

The Taiwan Insurance Institute (TII), established in 1985, is a non-profit organization to facilitate safe and sound development of the insurance industry and help promote the interests of the insurers, the insured, and the public. The TII is authorized by the supervisory authority to develop insurance periodical actuarial statistics. The TII is also responsible for making policy proposals, conducting professional insurance research, reviewing insurance products, analyzing international insurance data, promoting risk management and insurance knowledge, as well as acting as a government think tank.
